Account deletion

Deleting your chesstactics account is self-service and takes effect immediately. You can do it from either place:

• On the web: log in at chesstactics.app, open Settings, then use "Delete my account" in the Danger zone.
• In the mobile app:Settings, then scroll to the Danger zone and tap "Delete my account".

Your profile, your journey progress, your puzzle attempts and rating, your scan accounts and findings, your XP, streaks, achievements and preferences are removed immediately and cannot be recovered. Billing records are retained only as long as the law requires (invoices, for tax purposes), and past purchase rows are kept without any link to you. The details are in the privacy policy.

If you no longer have access to your account, email hello@chesstactics.app from the address associated with it and we will delete the account and its data for you.

There is no subscription to cancel: the lifetime unlock is bought once. Deleting the account ends the licence it was attached to; a purchase made in the app can be refunded only by Apple or Google, under their policies. If you are within your fourteen-day withdrawal period, write to hello@chesstactics.app before deleting so we can refund you first (see the terms of sale).
