Lichess is free. Why pay?
For puzzles, do not: Lichess is where ours come from, and the gym here is free up to twenty a day. What you pay for is the part Lichess does not do: your own games scanned for the tactics you missed, named by motif and handed back until fixed, plus the hardest section of every journey.
Why not a subscription?
Tactics are learned, not rented. Charging every month would push us to stretch the learning out, which is the opposite of the job.
What is the launch offer?
The first hundred founding members pay the launch price, for life. When the last seat goes the price moves to the struck-through amount. Nothing else changes: same product, same updates.
Is the free tier crippled?
No. Two full sections per journey, a real verified rating, a scan of your last twenty games. If you only ever use that, it is genuinely enough to get better.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. Every motif page has puzzles you can play without signing up. An account exists to remember your rating and your games.
